David Scott Sinton (Dave) was born in Colorado Springs on 20 June 1950 and died on 23 September 2012 after a short battle with complications associated with heart infection.

He is preceded by his mother, Mary Sinton and survived by his father, Mel Sinton, sister Lynda Sinton, Brother Tom Sinton and four nieces and one nephew.

His great-grandfather was an early citizen of Colorado Springs, the founder of the Sinton Dairy and a County Commissioner and City Council Member. Dave attended various primary schools in Colorado and the University of Northern Colorado.

Dave had a life-long dedication to physical exercise and weight lifting and played both ways in the 1968 All-State High School game and played at UNC with a scholarship.

Dave was proud to have served in the Marines where he received a medical discharge after sustaining a knee injury. He had varied work experiences including working in Sahara Desert of Libya, construction and car sales.

Dave was known for his quick wit and humor, generosity and special friendships. He was a voracious reader with interests in history, current events and politics.

There will be a private family internment ceremony at Evergreen Cemetery with a Life Celebration gathering which will be held at a later date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, Dave would have preferred and appreciated donations to Penrose Foundation Att: Oncology, 2222 N. Nevada, Colorado Springs, CO 80907.
